# Build Seasons + Concerts

Everything you hire for lives in a **Project** — one concert, service, or recording — and Projects group together into a **Season**.

Learn to build one Project by hand first: add the music, the dates, and the musicians. Once that feels easy, group your Projects into a Season and let the time-savers take over.

## Projects vs Seasons

* A **Project** is one event you hire for — a concert, a service, a recording. It holds the music, the dates, and the musicians for that one gig.
* A **Season** is a folder that groups many Projects together, like Fall 2026 or a Nutcracker run.

Picture a Season as a binder, and each Project as a page inside it.

You can run Rhapsody with **only Projects** and never open a Season. Seasons just keep things tidy once you have a lot of Projects going at once.

## Which one do I use?

| Reach for a Project when…                 | Reach for a Season when…                          |

| You are hiring for one concert or service | You want to group a run of concerts together      |
| You need one roster and one set of dates  | You want to see many Projects in one place        |
| You are still learning the ropes          | You hire the same players across several Projects |

## Build in this order
