On Hold Musicians
"I'm not sure yet whether I can accept or decline..."
When a musician replies to a Rhapsody Invite, they have the option to Hold the call. This might be because they are unsure of their schedule or because they have a question to ask you regarding the Project.
You will have several options on how to handle a musician who has held their Rhapsody Call
FYI
When a musician holds a Rhapsody call, Rhapsody informs the musician they have 24 Hours to respond. Rhapsody does not take any action after 24 Hours of a musician holding a Call. Read more about upcoming features.
Nudge a musician into giving an answer
Sometimes, we need to be reminded to provide an answer. If a musician is taking too long to give you a solid yes or no answer, you will want to send them a Nudge to remind them to respond.

Nudging a Musician
Enter into the Project you wish to Nudge a musician on.
In Mission Control, switch to Notify Mode
Select the Chair/musician you want to Nudge.
In the menu below switch from the Communication tab to the Nudge tab
In the menu, select the
On Hold
or option. This is telling Rhapsody which musicians you want to nudge - the musician who is On Hold.In the Call Preview popup, review the Nudge to your musician. They will be reminded to respond with Accept or Decline.
Once your Call Preview is to your liking, acknowledge the checkbox at the bottom and select
Send Now!
Viola! You have now sent your musician a Nudge!
FYI
Musicians can only hold a call once. When you send a Nudge, the only options they can respond with is Accept or Decline - they can't hold it again if it's already being held!
Cancel a musician who has held for too long
If a musician has held their call and refused to provide a solid yes or no answer, it may be time to move on...
In this instance, you will want to cancel the musician and inform them they are no longer needed for the Project. You will then have the ability to replace the musician.
Enter into the Project you wish to Cancel or Release a Held musician from.
In Mission Control, switch to Notify Mode
In your view of choice (Genius or Assignment) Select the Chair(s)/musician(s) you want to Cancel.
In the menu that appears below, select either the
cancel
button. Once selected, a Call Preview will popup. In the Call Preview popup, review the Cancel Communication. Musicians will be asked to confirm they have received your communication.
Once your Call Preview is to your liking, acknowledge the checkbox at the bottom and select
Send Now!
Viola! You have now Canceled/Released a musician from a Project!
FYI
Cancel Communications for an entire Project will always require an answer before you can remove or replace the musician. The musician must "Submit" their acknowledgement of the cancelation OR you may answer for the musician. Read more about answering for musicians.
Revision Calls
Sometimes, a musician will hold their call because they have a question to ask about the Project that will depend on whether or not they can attend. When this happens, you'll want to make changes to your Rhapsody Project and provide musicians with a revision call.
Once you have made the appropriate changes to your Rhapsody Project, you will want to send the appropriate Revision Call to all affected musicians. Rhapsody will typically prompt you to do this immediately.
If a musician held a call and is receiving a Non-Critical Revision, they will be asked to either Accept or Decline the call. Non-Critical Revisions are indicated through the Project Checklist, and with a yellow lightning bolt next to the musicians name.

If a musician held a call and is receiving a Critical Revision, they will be asked to Accept, Decline, or Hold. Critical Revisions are indicated through the Project Checklist, and with a red lightning bolt next to the musicians name. Read more about revision calls.
